Anybody tried repairing plastic top cracks with anything other than silicone that works?

I HATE SILICONE .... If you don't mind the color, Liquid Nails sticks just about anything together quite nicely. Just don't "goosh" big ol' globs on there ......

Drill a small hole a little bigger than a toothpick at both ends of the crack ....... so the crack itself has a definite end. Then drill a couple more small holes along the crack. Squeeze out a nice fine bead onto the breach (crack) making sure it gets down into the crack itself, then smooth off the excess with a spitted finger. Don't wipe all of the Liquid Nails off, just the rough edges.

Finally, If you DO mind the baby-poop brown color ...... Epoxy appliance paint (from Home depot) works wonders.
