charging ???
Hi folks
just got another cart It is an electric ezgo textron (j1882). I read the maitenance thread it was very helpful thanks. My question is how long and often should I charge it.The charger has a timer but I did not want to over charge.what is the average time a cart will go without a charge. The campground where we are going to keep it will not let us charge it at the site. They will do it for 15 dollars at the office so I want keep it in good shape so we dont have to pay ever weekend to charge it. thanks Ross |

Re: charging ???
The charger should shut off automatically unless its a really old charger. There are 2 that has the timer....one will shut off automatically and the other will not. How long to charge depends on how much you use it and the condition of your batteries.

Re: charging ???
You can install a state of 'charge indicator' and get to know how far you can go between charges without over taxing the batteries. A voltmeter combined with the meter can tell you just how far you can go. Your question is Very relative to the age and condition of your battery pack. I believe optimum peddle time is about 90 minutes. Few of us have optimum batteries!
