Re: batteries melted WHY?
85 calls for 2 different resistor coils. Which one do you have? Is the coil all the way in back or right in the middle of the cart.

Re: batteries melted WHY?
I'm also curious what kind of cart i have. the sticker says textron B2285 im think its a 1985 but i looked online and it said that if its a if its an 85 its a marathon and it will have a metal body. if its a textron it has a plastic body. it does have a metal body. Just curious so when i buy parts.

Check this out - it is the Marathon Driver's Club. Does your cart look like these?

Re: batteries melted WHY?
Y it does but i'm alittle more crappy. I've only been working on it for about 3 days now. But those are modded pretty sick. Ya but that looks like what i have to a tee. But my steering wheel says textron i don't know why.

Re: batteries melted WHY?
Textron owns Ezgo. Also some times people put 2001 parts on a 1985 cart..Sometimes, they don't always fit
