Welding on electric carts
If I wanted to weld onto part of the cart for some form of modification what do I need to disconnect to keep from frying any electrical components just in case the ground is not perfect when I strike an arc? If it is something easily removed I would before welding. I feel it would be wise to disconnect the batteries at least but can some one clue me in on if anything else needs to be disconnected. I dont want to see smoke in more than one place (especially my wallet).

Re: Welding on electric carts
36 and 48v carts use a two wire system for all accessories. There should be no ground on the cart frame. Check it for yourself just to be sure no one has wired something silly.

Re: Welding on electric carts
Souldn't be an issue, but you can always play it safe and disconnect the main battery + and - connections.
