Default Club car DS Solid state conversion 36 volt battery dish.

I have a solid state conversion kit on order from Cartsunlimited.net and I was curious if the battery pack wiring stays the same as stock (36volt) or if there is a different configuration for the alltrax controller? I have my cables in and I’d like to at least make the cables up. Also can I use a regular 12 volt trickle charger to charge the pack or do they have to be charged individually until I have the actual charger wired up?

The battery to battery cables should be the same but the main positive and negative will depend on where you mount the controller. If you are making your own cables I would also suggest you make the battery to battery cables longer to accommodate 8v batteries so if/when you go to 48v you don't have to replace them. As far as keeping the pack charged you can charge them 2 at a time with a 12v charger or what I did was just wire the cart charger to the pack while the batteries where on the shop floor.

The batteries need to be arranged with the main + and - at the rear of the cart. Some years had then at the front of the cart and some at the rear. SO it is a change for some years.
The positive charge lead does move from the F&R switch to the main battery +. This way the chage leads are directly on the pack + and -.

So to be clear it’s best have the battery pack with the main +/- oriented to the rear?

The kit shows the battery layout with mains in the rear position. This is how CC layed the batteries out in the 48v carts. It make sense since the controller is in the rear and the mains go to the solenoid and control so this is the shortest route.

It is best to follow the kit instruction. They are tried and true.

Ok also do you know if the stock charging receptacle fuse can be bypassed!

Ok all installed. Only isue is I don’t get forward movement. I think that’s because I’m using stock F&R . I probably need a bus to jump it. Also I don’t get a light on the controller. I’m sure I just missing a wire.
