What material is TXT body made of?

Title states it all, what is body made of?

I'm installing headlight and taillight kit on my cart, but I have to fill some holes the previous owner put on the rear of the cart for generic taillights. I planned to try my hand at plastic welding, but unsure of the material used.

Pretty much plastic but if it were me I would just get another rear body.. white txt carts are very plentiful. Check with a local cart shop for pull offs.

Thanks for the quick reply! Good to hear, I planned to reuse material I cut off front lights to fill the hole before I cut the rears out. Also have to fill in holes where the top covers were for the rear fenders, as well as an antenna hole on the front clip. It almost seems like there's a top layer, similar to a gelcoat that's used on fiberglass.

Any idea what to expect to pay for a used front and rear body? Closest dealer to me is over an hour away, seeing if it's worth the trip. Also, this whole build cost is getting out of hand so wouldn't mind saving money if possible since I'm painting it as well.

Look on Facebook. I see txt bodies all the time fir like $50. You may still have to paint it, but at least won’t have to mess with filling holes.

Heck, for around that price I'd most definitely pick up another body. Save me alot of time to fix and bodywork. Thanks!

Also as suggested, check your local ezgo dealer. When I lived in GA they had piles of stock bodies out back and sold them dirt cheap.

I watched 100 bodies, cowls and tops get thrown in a dumpster a couple years ago.. He was needing room. Brand new 2014+ body and cowl are around $500 here. Used already painted around $350

The plastic on carts up to 2014 are TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer), I can only assume everything 2014 and later are as well.

If your close to East Tx I got one I'd give you to get it gone. Needs paint but good.
