Default 2010 yamaha

I have lost all braking. The brake pedal goes to the floor and no brakes get applied.

Sounds like the brake cable is broken or the pin that hold the cable to the pedal or transaxle lever came out. Lift the seat, on the driverside, you can see the actuating lever, push the pedal to see if it's moving.

the cable moves as it should. I must include this the cable seem to go into some sort of connection box.. There are no brake shoes on this model yamaha. Thanks for any input.

It is possible that the cable unraveled at the end, or got stretched. You will need to lift up the floor matt, and the metal floor plate under the drivers area, and take a look. This is where you will also adjust the tension on your brakes. There is a cable that moves inside of a black protective outer casing, like brake cables in a bicycle. I have never heard of brakes failing inside the transaxle, so it is either in the cable, the adjustment, or the pedal itself. The actual brakes are a wet disc brake inside the transaxle, and should last a lifetime, in good fluid.

While you are at it, a great preventive measure is to change the transaxle fluid NOW, and every year. It is 1 quart of peace of mind against failure.

1 qt on the axle, Nope. Try 44-46oz of yamaha "friction modified" gear oil.
