Help in removing G2E forward reverse handle
Can someone explain how to take the forward reverse handle off a yamaha
G2E? I don't see a bolt or anything on the outside and until I can get a step by step guide, I don't want to mess with anything on the inside. I feel like I am about to break the handle off. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Help in removing G2E forward reverse handle
Not sure if it's the same but on my g9 there is a retaining clip inside the body that holds it on. Remove the switch and it's easily accessible

Re: Help in removing G2E forward reverse handle
Correct Whitetrash. You should disconnect battery cable (36 volts positive or negative) just in case. Remove the 4 10mm head bolts and spacing collars. Don't lose the coulpler between the f/r switch and the handle. Then just a C-clip.
