Default Can I Leave my 2008 YDRE Plugged In ?

Just recently purchased a 2008 Yamaha Drive.Came with 4 new Trojans and the "stock" charger. Will it hurt to keep the charger plugged in for an extended period of time? Thanks.

Won't hurt but won't help either. I don't think that charger will recycle until unplugged. At least mine doesn't on my 2012 YDRE.

My charger does a good job but once the batteries are charged it shuts off and won't come back on.I understand some DPI chargers have a maintenance mode that goes into effect once the batteries are charged but I know mine doesn't do that.

My Yamaha charger does not maintain. It shuts off and won't come back on until it's unplugged and replugged.

Yamaha OEM Dpi chargers were specificaly ordered by yamaha with a relay (no float mode), guess they didnt want that feature. (they also dont have a amp meter). Some, however have a 36v profile built in.
