Default 1992 ClubCar ? on the cable coming out of the black box under seat

what is the purpose of the cable coming out of the black box uner the seat and how much thread should be showing.

I adjusted the gov and it now has more speed but every once in awhile if you have it to the floor it will hit the limiter so I just back off a 1/2" or so and its fine.

Just wondered what that cable does. Also it seem as though where the box mounts the the plastic is cracked so I made an aluminum angle bracket under it to stiffen it up, work well !

Well, not sure but that sounds like the accelerator cable. Where does the other end of go to?

All you really have to do is, take the cover off to see for yourself!

Linkage from the go petal going in,
Throttle cable going out, (to the govenor arm)
Voltage regulator
Solenoid
Fuse
and micro switches

You could do 2 things if you don't want to hit the rev limiter...
1) readjust your govenor to a lower RPM
2) disconnect the rev limiter ground

If you pick #2, It's crucial that you don't rev over 4200 RPM's for long periods,
your valves will float, and THAT will lead to a problem!

Yes... you could adjust the throttle cable coming from the box,
But, IMO... readjust the govenor!
