Do you need a scan tool to increase the speed and torque on a 48V Prec.

You need to have a dealer to upgrade your controller to mode 4. This will increase your speed to around 19-20 mph. It will not effect the torque. You would be a lot better off spending a little bit more money on a Alltrax controller. With that upgrade you will get more speed and an increase in torque.
