Newbee with a 1986 club car engine
I have just been given a 1986 club car. It has a bad motor the rod broke and cracked the block. Apparently you are supposed to change the oil from time to time. I need to find a used motor and it has not proven to be very easy. first off i dont want to pay $750.00 pluse a core charge. Im not sure what kind of moter it is i thought it was a ks82 but i might be wrong. Also is there a different motor that might fit on here. please help me

Re: Newbee with a 1986 club car engine
The engine you have is a Kawasaki KF82. These engines are obsolete and it will be hard to find one without a core.
If you are looking for parts such as the crankcase, rod, etc., please feel free to contact us at 1 877-385-8600 and we will be glad to assist you. Mark J&M Golf Carts |

That cart will accept about any aftermarket 10-25 hp single or twin cylinder 4 stroke that you are mechanic enough to adapt into it....you will find lots of discussion about similar projects if you search this site

I can't answer your question but, you are on the right track
Seems to me you have both engines so if you pull both clutches you can tell us |
