Default 08 Drive 48v goes 50 feet then stops

i have this yamie 48v drive sittin here. drive it 50 feet or so and something trips. i have to lift the seat, flip the tow/run to tow, wait 30 seconds, back to run and then the same thing happens. any thoughts?

we,ve had them to come in the shop doing that same thing it was the controller.we have a diagnostic machine we hook to the yamahas,maybe someone else can tell you how to check it without a machine.

that was gonna be my best guess. i have a g22 that is doing something similar when the pedal is pressed all the way down then it starts beeping like its being pushed from a dead stop

Could be as simple as a bad battery or batteries, you do know the 4 12 volt system is not the best. A download of the batteries will tell you right away. But, in a pinch...do a hydrometer test, if you find a cell or more bad...bad battery. Also can jack up the car, hook up your voltmeter to the battery set and run it, do you see a voltage drop? You can also aply the brake slightly (to simulate a load), is there a voltage drop? If so, do the same test with each battery. All it takes is one bad battery to drop voltage enough to give the controller a reason to shut down. Good luck
