2000 club car solenoid
Does it matter which style is solenoid you use in a 2000 club car? I see there is one that is from --- to 1988, one from 1998-2000 and one from 2000 to current.
The one I have looks like the first 2 options with the small posts opposite each other. The third option has the 2 small posts next to each other. If I can use the third style do I still need to connect the small posts with the diode? Actually hoping to use the first option. |

Re: 2000 club car solenoid
If you think you might upgrade your controller/motor for more speed/power someday you might consider getting a 300A or 400A capable heavy duty solenoid.

Re: 2000 club car solenoid
Probably won't upgrade, this is for my mom's cart. Moving slow and steady is good for her.

Re: 2000 club car solenoid
Is the cart 36V?
I just did a Google search on " Club Car 101975901 " and found lots of places selling a solenoid with that number or equivalent. Does it look like this? |

Re: 2000 club car solenoid
The earlier version of this one I can get tomorrow the later version will take 10 days. I found some specs on the later version but not the earlier one to compare them.

All I see is "4 terminal", "36V Club Car up to 1976-98". I don't see any amp ratings, but it is just an OEM stock replacement. They're probably all interchangeable until upgrading to a 300A - 500A type controller. The stock controllers are usually 230-250A. I tried clicking on the "Site Sponsors" button, but it doesn't seem to be working. If you have Amazon Prime they have one from Antoble for $30 that delivers in 2 days. |
