XCT400 and new motor
My DCX400 fried and I was able to replace it with a XCT with Alltrax. Got the XCT today. Now waiting on Alltrax to send the selinoid bracket....was not in the box.
Almost postive I am going to replace the motor while I am dealing with the controller issue. Sometimes it is good to have all new components. I have stock DCS cart on flat roads and want 23mph. I am going to look at the normal motor options such as PQ, EMP, Admiral, D&D, and AMD. I know it has been talked about many times... but have not seen too much written about admiral motors MOT-B2. Alltrax was promoting Admiral and EMP as options. Spoke with D&D and seemed hard to get information about motor specs... I think it might be possible to buy one from them and not know what you get until you open the box...just my opinion. Spoke with EMP and they seemed like you can talk motors all day long with them...very helpful. Also, since I have the XCT400 now, I wonder what Scottyb would say about the optional Fan? Seems like a nice upgrade for not a lot of money... Is it worth it? What happens if it gets a little wet under the seat? Thx for your input Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: XCT400 and new motor
I had very good luck with D&D. They answered my questions and gave me good advice on a motor choice.

I definitely don't want to paint a bad picture of D&D... It was one phone call...
I wrote it down the information, but would need to look it up...they said I need a 50 01 motor. Did not give me much info on specs. Just said it will do what I want it to do. I looked on their website and could not figure out what it was. It will require another phone call to them if I try to go in that direction. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: XCT400 and new motor
I'm a little curious where you bought a XCT400DCS control without the solenoid bracket and flex mount system and for how much?

Re: XCT400 and new motor
I had very good luck getting info from D&D via email. We went back and forth until I got the info I needed to make my motor decision. They even followed up with me after a few weeks to see how the motor was working out.

I will try contacting D&D again...
Any good information on Admiral Mot-B2 motor? Alltrax support seemed to like them. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |
