Default RXV rear shocks grommet pulling out

I'm having the rear shock grommets being extracted from the shocks on my RXV. It happened to my original stock shock and I assumed it was due to age....so I went and bought 2 new shocks and subsequently replaced both.
Now both need new grommets.

Is the issue a direct result of my lift and the shocks over travelling? I can't be the first person to have this problem....

I'll attach pictures from my phone separately.

Yeah, put the bushings back in, and use a large washer with the bolt to keep the shock from escape .

Thank you. Guess it's just that the travelling of the suspension pulls it out.
