Re: 2008 RVX Electric Cart
I've had a 2008 and a 2012. I prefer the 2012 that I now have. It has a lithium pack. Much lighter, and less often charging required.

Re: 2008 RVX Electric Cart
I bought a 2008 six years ago and and its been a good cart but if I was looking for another cart today I think a later model would be the way to go because of the curtis controller. I'm thinking that 2012 is when they went to the curtis but not sure.

Re: 2008 RVX Electric Cart
I've had a 2008 RXV for abut 10 months and have really enjoyed it. It's my first cart and I've not been disappointed. It will do 22 MPH as it sits. If I upgraded I'm sure I could point out some flaws the 2008 had, but it's been great so far (knock on wood).
If I had to do it over I would probably search out a 2012 or newer. |

Re: 2008 RVX Electric Cart
I have had a number of RXV's. A couple 2008's, a 2009, a 2010, 2012, 2014, and currently a 2013. I much prefer the 2012 1/2 -up carts with the Curtis controller. Much more that can be done with them as far as performance and most of the issues that were common on the early models have been ironed out. That being said, all seem to like to eat motor brakes, especially if heavy on the brake pedal. These carts utilize regen braking and under normal operation, the brake pedal is really not used very much if at all. Bob Boyce is quite the authority on these carts and can usually answer all questions on them. Just do some perusing in this forum and you can find all the information you seek.

Re: 2008 RVX Electric Cart
I am looking for a 2008 RVX myself. Preferably one with a dead controller.

Re: 2008 RVX Electric Cart
I actually have a 2008 RXV that had been set up with a lithium pack. It still has the original plastic battery tray. I had upgraded it with a Curtis controller and harness. I moved the Curtis controller/harness and lithium pack over to a newer RXV chassis. I have a working Danaher controller and harness around here somewhere in a box, if I can find it. I'm not a big fan of Danaher controllers.
