Default 2002 48 Volt Club Car Issues

Wondering if anyone has an idea on why my cart will take off and drive for about 10 seconds at full speed And shut down but if I let off the gas and get right back into it the cart will continue to go again.

If you have an MCOR that is the classic symptom of a failing one....

Key off: Pump the pedal 20-30 times and then cut the key on and see if it goes correctly. If so, replace the MCOR.

If you have a multi-step potentiomometer, then check the pads and wiper arm for wear and or alignment issues.

I believe 2002 was the year of the "infamous" solenoid dropout (eg. requires dropout harness or inline resistor)

JoeSam is correct. The MAIN DROPOUT harness, part number 102355201, will more than likely cure your problems. Very common issue with 2002-2003 DS IQ cars. It's a simple install as well. Takes about 15 seconds. Un-Plug the Tow/Run switch and plug the dropout harness in line.
