I think you would be impressed by going 48v, where are you located?

The 48v upgrade is a night and day difference. Alot of guys spend big bucks for this upgrade and you are most of the way there. I would buy two more six volts, and drop them in the bagwell. Buy a good automatic charger and a 48volt solenoid and you are good to go. You will not be disappointed.

Did you ever do the upgrade to 48V or get the cart running?

Just started it this many years later. Continued to just run it on 36v until the batteries died again. So this time was my attempt. As of now it isn’t running. When I hit the pedal solenoid clicks and nothing else happened. Feel like it is a v-glide issue. I have replaced solenoid, FR switch, charging plug, and charger. Still researching where all to check for troubleshooting. Motor spec and speed controller specs listed above

While I know this is obvious it now has 6- 8v batteries. I’m trying to look up what all to test I know when I check the controller I see power in(b+ to b -) and no power out (b+ to m-). When I ground to pack and go to m- I have 50 but it doesn’t fall off when I hit the pedal

Ok I have continuity tested the motor and it seems good haven’t tried putting a battery on it to actually function test. I checked the resistance on the v glide at the end of the wires that connect to the controller and it reads 5 and change at start to 1.3 at full load but the throttle needs adjusted to the wiper goes all the way to last lug. Still only get a click on solenoid when I apply pedal. I did remove resistor from solenoid and test that it is actually opening and closing. Any way to better test the controller? I know the whole system ran at 36v. The controller and motor are able to run 48v. The controller looks for 5-0 for input so kind of stuck

So from everything I have tested my controller is the issue. Continuity tests on motor are good. With a 4hp series motor. Is the same size controller 48v in the area of 480 amp 5k to 0 controller the way to go? I assume there is a way to match up what size controller based on motor size. I just don’t know it. This is a ds cart with v glide and the motor and controller listed on page 1 of this post. Thanks for any input
