Default 83 ez go

got a 83 ez go elecrtic resistor cart ,new batteries ,pack 37.9 cleaned all contacts ,could the solenoid weilded it self shut,do these carts have speed sensors ,cart works like normal just has no power ,any suggestions

yes a solenoid can welded it self shut, No these carts do not have a speed sensors, and iam not sure what you mean that your cart has no power, can you tell us more, this cart your talking about only goes about 12 to 14 MPH on a good day

cart goes loke 7- 8 mph almost stops on a hill

you may have a bad battery, take your DMM /meter and hook it to the + and - and drive the cart and see what the volts drop to, and then do the same to each battery and post the volts here, What batteries do you have?? and how old are they??

In addition to the above comments and suggestions, charge those new batteries before you ruin them.

New batteries should be fully charged prior to first use and then need to be broken in properly to obtain maximum storage capacity.

At 37.9V, your batteries are less than 70% charged, which may be part of the problem.
