Default First off-road experience and I want more!

Probably not the best place to post this since there is an off-roading forum but point here is to say that I took my first off road adventure. It is dry as a bone here so no mud to worry about other than the holes that will never dry up. I am completely stock other than the tires and lift(and of course some tunes).

The experience wasn't bad - Its relatively flat here with some lows and highs - 4 to 5 feet tops - along the right of way. I intentionally crawled down and up. In fact I backed back down one just so I could crawl back up to see what it's breaking point was. Yes I got right to the top and it ran out of torque and power. Went back down a few feet, picked up some minimal speed to clear. No buggy but I can see I want MORE!!!!...

I see cables, F/R switches, solenoids, controllers and a perhaps a new motor in my future...distant future.

I will wait till I get back from the beach trip(1 month in July) before thinking about my next step.

But for now...I have the fever - thanks guys!!!!!!

P.S. I've got to start bring my camera - I am seeing more deer in the last week than I have in the 10 years I have lived out here.

Sounds fun, this is our idea of offroading.

Holy smokes - Hope that cart wasn't RED like your seats? :)

I've since sold that cart, but it had a custom DnD speed/torque motor, alltrax 4855 controller, every cable was 2 ga. and everything was heavy duty and 48v. It would do 26 mph on flats and enough torque to pull the wheels 6 inches off the ground from a dead stop. It was a fun cart but I kept spinning hubs and blowing holes in the differential due to all the torque and the 26" tires. This was it all clean and purdy.

They were actually speaker enclosures that I made for 6 1/2" speakers.
