Re: 48V Golf Cart range?
If you're looking for a low cost way to monitor your batteries while waiting for an in dash digital numeric meter, use a voltmeter.
I had purchased a new voltmeter. I saved the leads off the old one and cut off the ends. I then added wire to both leads and ran them from the battery pack, under the floor, and brought them up through the slot in the dash where the golf balls are suppose to go. I set my voltmeter there and can monitor my batteries on the go if I want. The wires connect to the battery pack with clips, so if I want to check each battery individually all I have to do it flip the seat and move the wires around. |

Re: 48V Golf Cart range?
UPDATE: I'm getting at least 12-15 miles; going fast with a charge. My overall voltage is 50.3 before I start, under load I was able to measure 46.8. I independately measured all my cells and they all ranged from 1225 to 1300. Most being in the 1250 range. (Battery are Average) At 15 miles; I'm not dead and still able to go 17/18 mph with a passenger.
