david, glad to hear it......i wondered whatever happened i,m surprised that before you did the changeover you didn,t slap a new harness in there just to see.....i would have had to just to know..........and i agree with you about the meter and wires ohming good......just because the tool says it should be ok to me dosn,t mean anything i have seen way to much.......................

Hey Techs! Wanna make it easier for you to find weak connections in your wire harnesses? Do it the old school USAF way. (I was an aircraft electrician). Build yourself a load light. Grab yourself a 12V automotive bulb and socket, and 8 AA batteries. Connect one side of the batteries (in series) to one lead of the light bulb, connect leads to the other side of the battery pack and the other side of the light. When you connect the 2, the bulb should burn nice and bright. If it doesn't, you have a bad connection.. From what I have been told, the military doesn't use digital multimeters to this day because they are just too sensitive, and don't apply a large enough load.

yes i like it........in my opinion any old school method is better than todays way.......we rely on these gadets way to much and thats why you always see me telling someone its time to put the tool away and go with your gut or old school method...................................
