2000 Club Car Villager 48v Sounds good!
Hello again.
Hope y'all are having a good day. Better than mine I hope. Well.... My 2000 villager is all charged up. Looking good, I shift it into drive and hit that gas and it purrs like kitten..... The only problem is that..... It's not moving. Motor spinning with alittle vibration but no movement F or R. I received this golf cart from my parents cause it wasn't running. Dead batteries. Low on electrolytes, charger wouldn't even charge they were so dead. For all I know my little sister and boyfriend broke this thing back in the day. It has sit for awhile. But new batteries 3 years ago. They are holding charge now. Radio works. Lights, horn, buzzer, blinkers all work. Motor spins but no movement. Thanks in advance. Hillbilly |

I agree with Joesam. Check the voltage with a load tester.

Re: 2000 Club Car Villager 48v Sounds good!
I will check that. Thanks.
Batteries were replaced in 2006 and it has really set since then. Once batteries where replaced it seamed like it wouldn't stay charged as well. Couldn't go as far. I think the electrolytes were never checked. But who knows. But I know this cart was used to pull start a stuts bearcat car Before. Thanks for the info. |

So if it's the batteries what is the spinning I hear?
When I depress the throttle. And yes there is an off balance shudder present, with the rpm of the motor as you fully depress the pedal. And it reaches max rpm, vibrates pretty good. But it feels like an off balanced cog wheel to me. I hope y'all are right. |

It was in fact bad batteries. Should I just single out the bad ones. Or just replace them all. New batteries installed 2008
Had 3 with dry cells. |

Replace 'em all - batteries that are 7 years old (even when treated perfectly) are considered fairly OLD - but when totally abandoned (not charged)....they can be completely ruined within a year!
