Default 1992 Club Car loses power

my 1992 club car takes off fine for a few blocks but when you stop it is dead in the water. After a few minutes it again will take off. Almost if something is getting hot and after it cools off it works again

well for starters.....the best thing you can do is to post this in the Electric Club Car section.....not the EZGO section to get the best exposure.

BUT seeing as your NEW...... Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

You should have the resistor drive system. Lift up the seat and check every wire for frays, cracks, corrosion, etc. Also, look for a V-glide, which is your throttle control. It is black plastic and shaped like a piece of pie. It'll be in between the batteries on the driver's side.
