Default Correcting a Shimmy Shake on Lifted Cart

Folks-

I have a G-22a with a Jake's lift. I bought the cart that way so I did not do the install. I have since installed a Plowman's performance upgrade (clutch and mods). This is the cart below.

At speed (23-25 or so), I have a pretty good back and forth shimmy. Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Any help is appreciated.

Check the toe in. 0" to 1/8", I think.

That should do it, or start looking for an out of round tire!!

Zero toe in. May even need a 1/16 to out. As long as it's not your tires like Mike said.

Play around with toe settings and if that does not fix start checking front bearings, steering linkage joints etc to find slop... Don't need and "death shake" going on!

Good advice, but I would do it in the opposite order. If the components are worn out or sloppy, you will chase this issue forever.

Put the cart on jack stands and spin each tire fast and you should see if they are out of round. I had a 2010 g29 that was 6" lifted with jakes and 23" tires from previous owner. It didnt have a shaking or wobble type feel but it would wander side to side while tracking straight down a paved road. You could hold the steering wheel as straight as you could but soon as speeds got over 20 it was all over the road. Looking at the cart from the front with the steering wheel at 12:00 everything looked straight. I watched a few videos on youtube and was able to get it riding straight as an arrow. Dont even have to hold the steering wheel.

My current cart and inlaws cart i didnt do the string test or the tape measure on the center tread method like on you tube. What i did was loosen the tie rod nuts a little turn each side about a 1/4 turn out and take the cart down the road for a test. After 3 or 4 runs where i felt like it was perfect i would tighten down the lock nuts on the tie rods. From full lock turning either left or right its the exact same amount of rotations so that means everything is good.

One question. Do you have the shimmy while hauling the dragsters or all of the time?guess that's actually two questions??
