also on the cosmetic side of things, i acquired fender vents from a supercharged land rover to integrate onto body. then eventually adding blue led light accents.

You sound as crazy as me! Well, not really, I would be putting the supercharged land rover motor in the cart! This is sounding pretty cool, let's see some pics!

TS,

A man after my own heart!
These carts are a blast.

I'll be following this thread also, looks like I might learn something lol.

Did you get to start the engine up yet? Hoping it runs like a dream after all of that work you put in.
Are you doing the whole enchilada on the cart?
I'm also doing one, stretching and lifting and at the moment.
I'm waiting on a new carb. Mine's a '90 GX444 (Marathon I think.)

Have fun, Good luck to you and Keep the pics coming, it's what most of us live for here.
Take care, E.Z.

Full cage with a supercharged motor would be ideal!:thumb up:

We are all a little insane...... It keeps it interesting.

Haven't fired the motor up yet. Trying to figure the FNR had some bad corrosion on a switch. I believe the most corroded wire that broke off had to do with a back up alert? I may just get it back together and running. Then strip it back down until spring time. Someone had welded the frame and it is 1" to low and causing the rear to be off a bit. So at some point I think I will end up reworking the frame. I don't know much about fabricating but I think I could grasp basic welding to salvage this cart. I checked your carts and it has now planted the seed for wanting to stretch it haha.....

You can see the bad areas and welds obviously but here is before paint and after wire brushing...

STL,

Man.., you got right into it didn't you?
I was in a big hurry to get mine going with the purpose to re-live the hair raising memories of when my nephew owned it, but that killed the idea of cleaning and re-painting the bones of the cart.
Nice job you're doing tho.
If I read here long enough I might get the fever too lol, happy new year,

E.Z.

E.Z.
The more I took pieces off the more hidden rot I found. Ever piece pouring out dirt and rust... The funny part was taking the shop vac blower to the swing arm and blowing out a sandstorm.... Or fossilized stuff under gastank... I need to address the rear suspension maybe with longer shocks.... Trying to research it a bit. A side note many of the general nuts/bolts were so bad that they need to replaced. Salvaged bolts for mounting motor. Most were so bad the threads were gone. Can't say I haven't thought about rat rodding this cart or make it look like something out of a madmax movie.

The 244s are great engines to learn the basics of two strokes,
they also take a lot of abuse as long as there's sufficient oil
