Default RXV Danaher Diagnostic Tool

Soooo. This is a long shot but if anybody knows where I can get my hands on one of these (for less than the new price of 899-1000 bucks), please PM me or reply on the thread. I have a 2010 and I'm fairly technically inclined. So I don't wan't to have to take this thing to the dealer every time I want to tweak something or need to troubleshoot an issue.

Also I have heard mention that the software revision on the tool is an important factor. Can anybody elaborate on this? Is this true? Where does it factor in at?

Thanks in advance!!!

Does it matter what version you get? There are about 3 different levels, each more expensive with the more features.

You can pm me and i can see what i have access to.

There is only one version of the Danaher programmer (2012 & prior rxv). The Curtis system has 4 levels of programmer (2012.5 & newer rxv).

I found this site, but it looks like they are now the manufacturer of these. So I cant imagine what they even wan't for it...If they will even sell direct to an end-user.

I may just end up putting the upgraded Curtis controller in the cart...In which case I will need a different controller.

The handset is about $900

I feel like EZGO went back to Curtis for a reason. There are even conversion kits out there to change over from the Danaher to the 1206AC. In fact I think EZGO is the one selling said kit. If you do go this route Id suggest getting the 1206AC-5203 over the 5201. It has freedom mode enabled.

The reason is probably simple. The Danaher controllers were costing them too much in reputation loss and repair costs probably. The search results for issues with a Danaher controller in an RXV vastly outnumber the results that come up for Curtis controller in an RXV.
