Default Where to buy parts

I’m fixing up a 1989 G2. Was wondering if anyone has a link to a post that lists some of the best online golf cart parts retailers. I’ve bought a few things from a couple of them and some stuff off ebay, but a lot of what I need isn’t available from most of them. So wondering what you experienced folks say are some of the better places to deal with and who has the hard to find stuff. I’ve searched for a post but haven’t found one yet.

Also, I see a couple stickys for a G8 club and the like. Any G2 club out there in the forum?

Thanks.

You will get a lot out of the G8 club people and the G9 club people. What is it that you are looking for. Most parts are no longer available for the G2 or G9.

A battery tray for one, doesn't look like that is something that is available anymore. So mostly aftermarket stuff is what I will find? Thanks.

Check the site sponsors first, if no luck keep an eye out on eBay. If the frame is strong you can fabricate a battery tray.

I am looking for a new roof as well, they seem to be hard to find. Everything I see are for the newer carts.

Frugaldougalsgolf.com for roof. This is the only company I know of that has the older roofs.

G9 is pretty much the same cart with detail changes. You can get yamaha parts online at tntgolf, nice place to deal with. Cartpartsplus is also a nice place in my experience and was/is a site sponsor at one time iirc. Always check out the sponsors for deals, button is at top. See if you have a local yamaha cart dealer. Finding specific things like roofs may be difficult, others here may know or you have to go ebay/craigslist/etc and look for used. Some of that stuff is not available. Battery tray you could make one from a boat battery box. I just welded angle steel on mine and made a new frame, I still had the plastic spacer in there to use. You can get the hold down rods at farm supply places or maybe harbor freight/etc.

OK, that gets me a few places to start looking. Also knowing that a G9 is almost similar to a G2 really helps. Looks easy to get carried away on these cuz there is so much stuff you can get to make them look really cool!
