So after my first full charge of the new batteries over night, I decided to see what kind of top speed I could get out of this thing. Every run was measured using a Garmin GPS.

First run: No top or windshield, only me driving; 24mph.

Second run: No top or windshield, 2 adults; 22mph.

Third run: Top and windshield installed, only me driving; 21 mph.

Last run: Top and windshield with my wife and daughter; 20mph.

I'm more than happy with these results. I wanted lots of torque and a top speed of 20mph from a motor to complement Scottyb's solid state conversion kit. The ES-58 was right on the money.

Default 99 CC DS solid state conversion HELP

I'm also getting the exact same speeds on my ES-58 and very happy with the results. 👍 ...careful with those wheelies, you'll break stuff

...Tools ...Toys (same thing) :)

I'm hoping once I do Tahoedawg's break flip I will gain maybe another 1mph. I was testing out the torque yesterday by resting the front tires against some stumps in the yard that range from about 6-10" tall with about a 8" diameter, and I creeped up and over them without a problem

Love it!

I know it’s been a couple years but is Scotty still making these kits. I emailed him this morning and still waiting on a reply. I have a unknown year club car .... SN# is hard to read I’m assuming 81-84 because of the 5 solenoids. I’m ready to make the purchase but I want to make sure he’s still making them. I also will probably need a charger considering on moving from 36v-48v.

He still makes them and will get back to you soon. With all the people with free time on their hands right now, he's probably busy helping them. You can check out his kits at https://www.cartsunlimited.net/conversion-kits.html.

Scottyb still sells the conversion kits but I don't think he uses the FSIP controllers or PB-6 Pot box anymore; I think he's switched to using the electronic pedal instead. Both are fine but the PB-6 is cheaper and can be found almost anywhere. Good luck!
