Default G1 bang

complete rebuild....piston is in the correct way....have spark....have fuel....but it bangs like the actual combustion is happening in the case and not the chamber.... timing? I lined the marks up on the case with the stator plate

4 wires from timing plate need to be connected to the same color coated wire...... there are two yellow with red/blue stripes. I had them crossed. that will change the timing a little

If I had a nickel for every time I fumbled around with wires in some gawdawful place, thought I had them right, and nothing worked, I'd be rich. I've learned to wipe off the wires and turn them slightly to see if they have a trace color. Believe me, hooking up a yellow wire to a yellow /w black stripe wire doesn't go well.

it would have been nice if they designated 4 different colors completely down there, instead of having 2 yellows with a different colored stripe
