Default 2008 RXV brake, other issues

I have a 2008 RXV that I'm trying to repair for a gentleman. He's had it for about a 1 1/2 yrs and said it ran just fine until the other day when the brake locked up on him. I put a new brake on it and changed the solenoid, still will not run and the brake is still locked; however NOW when you turn the key switch with the run/tow switch in EITHER position the battery indicator will intermittently go on and off ( needle jumps like it's coming on then falls back) it does this every two seconds until the key switch is turned off...again the key switch can be in ANY position (F,N,R) and this still happens WITH the run/tow switch either off or engaged. Anyone else ran into this problem and if so what was done to fix it? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

What is the pack voltage? How old are the batteries? What does the battery cables look like?

Download the troubleshooting guide for Danaher Rxv. Try the test for the Resistor control module. This test involves removing the small wire at the controller B- terminal, putting the main cable back on, then testing the cart again.

Unplug the harness from the motor brake and check the resistance of the motor brake coil at its terminals. If the coil resistance is too low, the coil current can exceed the predefined current limit and the controller will cut that output off and test again. The result is a repeated overcurrent condition that can fry the FET that switches the motor brake, set an error condition that prevents proper operation, ect.

49-50 pack voltage; 2012 batteries, I cleaned some corrosion off but otherwise they're good to go

Your battery pack is at 80% or less. I would charge the pack and see what it is fully charged 12 hours after it shuts off.

Next you got two smart guys cgtech and BobBoyce here willing to help you and there both top notch. I'm going to step back and let them help you.
