Default G2 clutch spring upgrade

With the new long travel kit installed and governor removed, I need some better low end on the cart. Not wanting to do anything drastic or expensive. Is the umax spring a good place to start? Anything else I should look at replacing while I'm in there? Cart is only used on the street in town, struggles with take off and hills now. Hoping not to lose much on the top end. Thanks in advance for help.

The umax spring is a good inexpensive upgrade for your secondary. Make sure that the sheaves aren't worn. Check the ramp shoes for wear and replace if necessary. If your spring seat/helix doesn't have the black ramps that attach with a fastener, (new, improved) I suggest that you replace it, too. The old style helix has ramps (white, I believe) that just push into place.

Yes, the old style ramp shoes are white. I would also replace the "c" clip with the spacer to stop the helix from hitting the rear end housing.

Awesome guys, thanks for the advice. Does anyone have a parts drawing of the secondary clutch?

Looks like mine has the white ramp shoes. Any recommendations on where to buy everything I need (spring, helix, spacer)?

The clip isn't on the drawing. If it's still on your cart, it fits into a groove on the input shaft and the spring seat fits up against it. It will be obvious if you already have a spacer in place.
