Rear differential durability
I've got a high torque motor on its way and told pulling a trailer wouldn't be an issue for the motor. How strong is the gearing in the differential? I don't recall any one saying they overloaded one but it had me wondering.

Re: Rear differential durability
If it is a Kawasaki or Grazino pumpkin, no worries they are tough.

Re: Rear differential durability
I agree, they are tough enough for typical things. One customer I saw however was stubborn and was towing a huge trailer and trying to fill it to the max. Every few months the car would be returned to us because he melted something and said he was seeing smoke lol. So I'm not sure what kind of weight you intend to pull, but like anything else don't over do it

Re: Rear differential durability
On another note, I once had to try and replace the axle on either the driver or passengers side, I can't remember. But the car used a granziano differential, and let me tell you I had a hell of a time trying to find the replacement. I don't think they make them anymore

Re: Rear differential durability
If anybody knows the weak points in a CC diff, he should. [Drag racing is rough on diffs. [Ask me how I know.]
