Man, you so smart! Would you brace it any more at the rear bracket? Stereo console with 3/4" wood top in the front.

Good info on the madjax kit for G22, avoid it if you have a windshield or enclosure. To me, that's not gonna be an acceptable solution for any of my customers. BTW- your G22 (and all other "regular" factory 2 seat G22s) had what's called the "Ergo top" wit molded in handles & drip spouts near the rear on the edge. G19 & prior models didnt come with that style top. It looks to me like their "G22 kit" was actually built on a prior model without the Ergo top. I have ran into same issues on other "bolt-on G22 rear seat kits", if you waste your time calling them, they say "yeah, it bolts right on".

I've installed a Madjax rear flip down seat on my G22. I have the stock G22 top I believe. When you sit in the seat with the (aluminum) stock support brackets, you hit your back on the top support bracket and hit your head on the top. This is NO WAY going to be comfortable for anyone that sits back there.

I've contacted Madjax, but so far, they have no solution to the issue. So, I've come up with a new solution. They sent a set of extra support brackets with the kit, but they are not meant to fix this problem. I am assuming they are for other kinds of tops that would come on a G22.

Anyway, I've re-drilled the holes and mounted them (black support brackets) as you can see in the pictures. I've also lifted the top by 1 1/2 inches to help keep you from hitting your head as you sit in the seat. However, this will require you to add 1 1/2 inches to the front two support studs to level the top. Anyone come up with a better solution?
I did the same and love it. Going to make a spacer piece below windshield to fill in the gap for cold wind.
