Default 2012 Ezgo Freedom RXV 48v Charger

I am putting 4 new Trojan T1275s in my 2012 Ezgo Freedom RXV today and want to get a new smart charger as well. I have the Ezgo charger, but figured the smart charger will help my new batteries last a lot longer. Ive heard DPI Accusense is good. What's the best for my batteries and cart to help them last?

I've had my DPI Accusense for about 2 years. It's works great. I don't hesitate to tell you to stop shopping and get one ordered. ScottyB will get it to you quick.

I got my DPI charger in, brand new batteries, which are at 50.4. Put the charger on last night and its been in solid yellow charging mode ever since. I checked volts again and still at 50.4, no change. Unplugged, let sit, plugged back in no change. Is this normal?

I'm not near a computer, on my phone, so I can't send you a link . I think it's normal for new batteries to behave that way. You're in the early stages of battery break-in. Look on ScottyB's website and read up on battery break-in procedure. I think I recall your situation discussed.

You should unplug the charger (both cords), and plug it back in. Then check it for an increase in pack voltage. 50.4v is not a normal "on charge voltage". Your batteries should increase to at least 58v just before charger shuts off.

Something is wrong then, I drove it around to drop the batteries to 50%. Came home and put it back on the charger at 1pm. It was at 48.4v, I just checked and its only at 49.3v, this can't be right. Any ideas on what I could check? I have pulled both plugs multiple times last night and this morning in hopes of a reset. I have Trojan batteries and the jumpers are set to Mode 2 which is supposed to be Trojan. Should I try another setting? Will it hurt anything?

I also forgot to mention that the AMP meter on the charger shows no voltage at all, the needle does not budge.

So I decided to give up on the DPI charger and plugged my old Ezgo charger on and it wont light up. I'm wondering if the battery installers blew the charging port up. I tested volts across the pins and am only seeing 27v across the two bottom pins. I'm assuming it may be showing too low a voltage for the DPI to do anything with and the Ezgo won't even turn on. Is this a connection issue or has the port failed?
