Default Yamaha pcv valve . For g2

Hello everyone.
Can anyone tell me where I can get a pcv valve for a g2?
The Yamaha dealers around here don’t have a clue !
Is it specific to my cart or will a generic do ?
All the lines were clogged with white oil around it and it seems to be shot .
Not sure if that is why the cart smokes .
Runs like a top but spending 18 years in a barn didn’t help her it seems !

Thank you Cgtech!
That is exactly the part !
Do you think that if mine is shot it would cause the cart to smoke ?

Not really. That valve's role is to lube the top end. Oil smoke usually is from worn/stuck rings.

Or maybe dirty carb, stuck float, gas in oil, oil in air box ect. But GC is right, as alway's, worn out oil rings.

Now, my oil is very clean .
I will check the carb and float tomorrow .
Interestingly, I drove her fairly hard up and down the street for 15 minutes. The smoke decreased significantly after this .
I’m hoping that it’s the residue in muffler .
I take it I should do a compression test ?
That will tell me about the rings?
What kind of tool do I buy to check that ?

A typical automotive compression tester works. I have found that often the oil rings fail first, while the compression rings are still working pretty decent. What this does is give an acceptable compression reading (and decent performance) from an engine that smokes. Here's the most important thing to look for in my opinion, COLOR of smoke. Excess fuel makes Black smoke, while oil makes White/bluish smoke.

Yes. Another issue is overfilling the oil will cause it. Put one quart in and no matter what your dipstick says that is full. It will puke oil into the airbox if overfilled. If that is not the case its likely oil rings are toast and gets worse when hot. Only other reason I know of is if the carb float is leaking and will fill the crank case with gas making an overfilled condition, but you will see high oil level and it will stink like gas and be thinner than normal. Oil ring going bad is very common after a million hours of use they take, some just ring them the first time and bore them after the next set. But new rings only do so much for a worn engine. Personally I put a clone 420 in it was cheaper since I could make the mounts and stuff, and while a big project that is easier now if you buy a kit...I still ended up with a NEW engine after that with more power to boot. So depends on what you want from your cart for what you decide to do.

The pulse comes out the side of block and to the fuel pump at a tee, then up to that valve and into the rocker cover. I think the idea was oil to the top end but it also keeps the oil out of the pump, keeps it clear that way. I might end up putting that on my clone once in a while it gets condensation (mostly in snow riding) and the pump stops pumping enough fuel.

Thank you Sho305
Great information!
Compression is 146.
My guess is rings .
She starts and runs like a top so I will just drive her and leave well enough alone.
Sitting for years in a barn didn’t help I suppose!
