Default Columbia speed sensor magnet

I own a 2010 Columbia Summit Utility SUV with a 48 volt
17.3 hp ACE motor. It has a Sevcon 633T45303 6 post
controller. I have read in other threads about changing the speed
Sensor magnet to a modified Magnet to obtain more speed, however I am at a loss on which type would work with this motor. Thanks.

If you ask for the Sevcon personality settings for your specific controller you may find that there are some setting that can be changed to allow more speed. Mine was set for a max speed of 90%.

After changing my controller to an Alltrax I can can go ~38 mph. However that is probably exceeding the recommended max motor speed so I try to keep it below 30....preferably 26 or so.

Perhaps Tech Support can help you find someone nearby that has a programmer. The lack of someone near me was a big factor in my choice to replace the controller.....of course the fact that mine died was also an incentive. The Alltax can be programmed by anyone with a laptop.
