I certainly would not want to try remapping an Elite for oversized tires. I can turn down the current of the stock controller to allow it to survive, but you're not going to be happy with the performance. The tire size limit of the stock controller is 20.5", if you are expecting decent performance and longevity.
Uh Oh, you're not helping my anxiety level.

This could stress the motor or the controller or both?

Thanks Bob

I could put 30" tires on an RXV and it'll run, the question is for how long. I am an engineer, and I don't just jump into things without running the numbers and calculating what is workable LONG TERM vs just taking a chance and doing things without considering the consequences.

Do what you want, it's your cart of course. Then when things go wrong, you'll know why. You won't even have to ask for help because you'll know where things went wrong.

What do you guys mean by Elite?

I sold our 2014 and thinking of buying a 2017 today or tomorrow RXV

Will 22" tires be ok on a stock 2017 RXV , if I have to lift it 3" Jakes I have no problem doing so

I don't want anything to burn up

The Elite has lithium batteries. That is the difference.

The stock RXV controller is designed to power an RXV with up to 20.5" tires. I personally have changed out a few stock RXV controllers for members here that were burned out from running 23" tires. I have not seen this happen with 22" tires. I will not do performance programming on a stock RXV controller for tires over 20.5" because that can cause failure. The larger the tire, the higher the peak current is, and the longer the controller is exposed to that peak current during accelleration.

Thanks I appreciate it

So if I stay with 22" tires or smaller I'm ok with a stock controller ?

How much is the controller to.upgrade just in case I burn it out with 22" tires?

I love my RHOX 225/55-B12 tires.
They just look symmetrical on it.
And I get 24.2 mph.
No modifications needed.
Even with two fatbastards in the cart, no rubbing
