Re: Unexpected motor upgrade
The controller is not involved in the operation of the solenoid. You should solve the solenoid issue first. Did I understand you to say that you had 50.8 volts on one of the small terminals of the solenoid (red wire) and 0 volts on the other small terminal (white/black wire)? If that is true, the solenoid is already engaged because you have voltage across the coil even when you are not stepping on the pedal. In other words, you are not hearing a "click" because the solenoid is on all the time.

Re: Unexpected motor upgrade
What voltage do you have between the two SMALL terminals on the solenoid?

No voltage, no voltage when the pedal is pressed

Re: Unexpected motor upgrade
OK, then disregard my prior post about the solenoid being "on" all the time. I misunderstood your post about 50.8 volts on the "red wire".

Re: Unexpected motor upgrade
Let's go back to the Key Switch. With the key on, do you have 50 volts on the blue wire?

Re: Unexpected motor upgrade
I think your on to something.
At the switch I have 50 But when I test the switch on and between the to connections I have nothing. So I think the switch is dead. Now can I bypass the key switch all together. I don’t really need it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Unexpected motor upgrade
If the green wire is at 50 volts and the blue wire is also at 50 volts then when you measure the voltage BETWEEN the two wires you will read zero volts because the DIFFERENCE between them is zero. Your key switch is probably OK. When measuring volts, just put the black lead of your meter on B- and leave it there. Use the red lead to make the measurement. If you do it that way you should see 50 volts on both green and blue wires.
