Default Cart dead after cleaning batteries

I cleaned my batteries with an aerosol like i do every year. I removed the cabled and cleaned everything up. Put it all back together and now the charger is blinking a single red and the key switch does not activate anything. Putting into the tow mode with the key in neutral does nothing.

I measured the battery bank and it reads 50v and each battery is over 12v.Wiring is connected correctly.

The plug in LED receptacle on the cart is a solid green before I plug in. Once plugged in it fades and flickers

I am stumped as to what might have happened or what I am missing.

Did you leave off a wire coming from the charging port?

OK. Check and make sure all battery connections are snug.

Time for some more trouble shooting. Try:

1- Measure the pack voltage at the charger connection. You should be seeing full pack voltage there. If not, find out why.

2 - Measure the resistance of each high amperage battery cable on your cart (including any to the controller, Fwd Rev Contactor, solenoid and motor. Check the resistance both from the connections on the cable ends and from post to post where they are connected. After adjusting for your meter resistance (meter probe to meter probe), each cable should be less than 1 ohm.

3 - Check for power into your key switch.

Were you in tow mode when you removed and re-installed your cables?

I totally agree with checking voltage at the port. Because that port still has to do the equivalent job of the "Reed switch" like the old ports from the earlier days. So, low voltage there would trip-up the charger, and may also not be sending the "charger is not connected" signal to the controller to enable use.

I think that most folks don't have a meter capable of meaningful readings from a battery cable ohms test (well below 1 ohm). Just as good of a job could be done with the average volt meter by hooking the test leads on to battery pack B+ & B-. A big voltage drop when key is turned on could reveal a bad connection by the voltage drop.

i would have to say if it worked fine before disassembly it has to be one of the cables check each one. maybe even a bad post on one of the batteries?
