1984 ezgo won’t move

I replaced the forward and reverse microchip system. Now the cart will go a little then quit. It sounds like it is trying to go but stays stationary. Any ideas on what I need to do?

What sort of microchip system did you use to replace the stock forward/reverse switch assembly? The 1985 that I have has a very mechanical F/N/R switch.
