The first time I took mine off I pried and beat on it to get it off, you should be able to hold the clutch to loosen the bolt it will come off

Okay thanks, will I need a puller to get it off the shaft for just beat it with a rubber mallet?

Mine came off pretty easy buy just hitting it with a rubber hammer, and prying. good luck when I put the pucks in I got a bought a puller but mine is a comet clutch

i would not try the hammer the clutch is pressed on the tapered shaft, a clutch puller is the only way to safely remove it [in one piece anyway]

Has any heard if you take the 6 or 8 bolts out of the clutch housing and turn it clock wise until its tight that it will help with the cart going up hills?

Is there anything that you can suggest. My cart runs fine on the flat but when I get to a moderate hill it bogs down and will not climb the hills especially if I am carrying a passenger. My cart has the lift kit on it with large tires on it?

driven clutch or belt mods are the first thing to come to mind, since you have decided against the belt mod you can have your driven clutch machined by CPP/dixie sales&service (one of this sites sponsors)
