no more DC motors?
Looks like all the new Yamaha electric carts have AC motors now. Don't see any DC motored carts on the web site. 3.3KW in the fleet carts and 5.0KW in the PTV. Time goes by, things change.

More efficient, more powerful, more marketing for more sales. Costs "more to build" but they can still make more money because 4% cost to build increase is worth a 10% retail price increase.
Less parts in the motor itself to fail, but higher markup on other common failure parts like throttle sensors and controllers and motor speed sensors. |

Oh yea, prolly inevitable and good from a performance stand point. I always figured EZGO would be the first to go completely AC since they have been putting them in carts since 2008.
