Ezgo fwd rev HANDLE issue

I put a new fwd/rev tower in my ezgo and the handle from the old one doesn’t work on the new one. The old one had a screw the bolted into the switch. The new one doesn’t have a hole to screw into. I can’t find one that online that works. Anybody dealt with this?? I’ve already ordered another and that didn’t work. Looks like the switch is threaded so it would have to be screwed on without the bolt on the end. Help!!

You got a F&R for a TXT, you need a F&R for a marathon. You could take the center pivot shaft out of your old F&R & install it on the new one, since the switches are generally otherwise the same.

The center pivot shaft diameter has changed just enough over the years to make interchanging difficult. The result is often a very hard to operate switch. You can order a custom HD F&R with a shaft for either the early or late model Marathon shift lever on my website.
