Default Kf82 341cc engine with very little use

What does a really nice shape/running 341cc flat hear typically sell for?

Engine looks almost like new.

I'm tempted to put a V twin in my cart and was wondering what my current engine might be worth to someone?
It's still currently in the cart.

My guess was maybe $450ish?

Thanks in advance for the help!

It would sell for more on eBay than you’d probably ever get locally. And in my experiences, as much as I hate to take apart a good running engine it may be worth more in parts than it is as a whole. Parts are extremely hard to find. If you do part it out, be sure to take a couple videos of it running before you do. It helps the sale. Again, eBay is your friend.

I parted out a motor out of an 89 ezgo that the bottom end was crap. I still made enough out of it to pay for the cart and the 212cc predator I put back in it to make the cart a go kart for the kids to beat up on

As CP 241 stated my experience was the same . I tried selling both my yamaha G14 and 82 HD columbia engines whole. I did not get a single offer either with the low selling price of $200. Parted out the G 14 for $950 and some parts on the HD for $500 on E Bay. Both engines were listed here for the same $'s and again no offers on whole engines.

So far my best offer locally is 400.

Was the 950 you got out of your one engine including the primary clutch/starter generator/exhaust?

I'm guessing I wouldnt really use any of that stuff towards a V twin swap?

The sad part is this engine legitimately looks like it has 5 hours of run time on it....I hate to part it out but its definitely an option to consider

I kept the S/G to use with the VC 460. I couldn't $200 for either let alone the $400 you have as an offer. You may get what you want. From what I have seen some of the KF group are a lot less prone to doing engine swaps. Basically I would look up the part on boats/partzilla and list it for 1/2 of that price and it would sell very quickly. I think a lot of golf cart repairmen shop on E-Bay

I now have an offer of 450 but I'm pretty sure that would probably include the s/g at the very least. Which I really wouldnt need for a V twin repower.

I'm located in southern Wisconsin about 40 minutes south of Madison.
