Default Ezgo TXT 48v cutting out after 20ft and needs reset

My Ezgo txt 48v with a Curtis 1206HB controller in it cuts out after driving 20 feet. Once it stops even the buzzer won't make noise. If I flip the cart from run to tow and back then it works for another 20ft 90% of the time. Sometimes it randomly won't work after flipping to tow mode and back but if I have it in reverse it chirps for one second while going from tow to run before cutting out. The batteries are good and sometimes it just works just fine and I can run 10 miles with no problems but then after parking it I can't get it to do anything other than what I described above. Does anyone have any ideas?

When the cart is misbehaving, check for battery pack voltage on the solenoid's small terminal with yellow wire on it.

48V should be there whenever Run/Tow is in Run.

Just figured it out, the charge disabled reed switch was working intermittently. If I just cut the Reed switch and solder the wires would that bypass it or do I need to take the orange/red wire and run it to 48v+?

The TXT-48 doesn't have a reed switch, but it has an electronic equivalency that puts 48V on the blue wire coming out of the back of the charge receptacle.

Just connect the Orange/Red wire to a 49V source and it should run.

However, it will run with the charger connected, so run the charger cord through the steering wheel as a reminder.
