You Found it!

Those are the only 2 oem wires you really need. The rest are either power, ground, or wires running from ignitor to coil to tell the coil when to fire.

That cart is trashed electrically. I think your best bet is to go through the wiring diagram (I sent a link earlier in this thread) and do like I did, rewrite everything. I believe the only wires I reused in my G9 were the wires going to the pedal and key switch to solenoid. I ran new wires to everything else.

There’s no sensors in this engine. You have a field wire to the starter/gen from the regulator. Couple other things on the regulator and that’s really about it. It looks way more complicated in the diagram than it really is… just review the diagram and compare what’s there to what’s good. Go through everything else in the cart in the activation side (key and pedal) and the charging side. You can pretty much throw out everything on the ignition side and just do it yourself. Sometimes that’s just easier and quicker than sorting through spaghetti.

I think I’d also recommend blasting the hell out of everything down there and inside there with a pressure washer. Nothing you’re gonna hurt but make it a lot cleaner and easier to work on.
