Default My 1990 ezgo. Its Ugly and I need help!!

Hello everyone,
Finally got some decent weather to start working on my cart. Didnt get much done because I need alot of help! I'm trying to disconnect the governor. when pushing my gas pedal, it pulls a cable that leads to a pivot on the clutch. The attachment point for the throttle cable is spring loaded and the at the other side of the pivot it is a solid rod with 2 plastic ends that connects to the carb. How do I bypass it? Also how can I tell what model my cart is?? I believe there was the marathon and medialist. Im not sure what mine is. Enjoy my ugly cart pics. Someday I hope to make it nice!

A 1990 would be a Marathon. By the pics it looks like a 2 stroke. Sorry I can't help with the linkage, not familiar with the 2 stroke set up.

I believe it's a 4 stroke flathead and the governor looks to be disconnected already.
Can you post your cart numbers so we can determine what you have?

The cart is a 2 stroke and I'm pretty sure the governor is still connected. I will snap some pics tomorow and try to post them. 93tuf-1 the thread you gave me a link to, is a different setup unless I'm looking in the wrong spot altogether. I traced the throttle cable to a linkage on the drive clutch, the cable connects to a spring loaded adjustable j-hook. the other end of the pivot goes to the carb which connects with a solid rod with plastic ends that adjust and are threaded. Then theres another solid rod from the carb to a switch right by the coil. If this info helps great, but I'm sure I got everyone as confused as I am, so pictures will help big time.
