Default g1 carb question

I recently bought a 84 g1. It starts and runs great until I get on much of a incline. I have read that the motors on the carts are some of the strongest made so I think it should climb some of the hills I have been on. It starts out strong but just dies down (looses rpm's) and then trys to pick back up. I have checked the fuel filter, fuel pump for flow, and cleaned the carb. Do these carbs go bad? Thanks

do some research on crank case seals...that can be the problem with these but they are easy to replace. best way to test them is to jack the cart up and push the gas pedal and spray wd40 around the crank while its running if the rpms increase then they are bad

Thanks- I will take a look at that. I heard that if the seals are bad it doesn't want to run at a slow speed also.

Check the drive belt with and length.
The cvt is the heart of these carts.

Thanks- what should the width and length be? It has a heavy duty spring. The belt is not slipping, the rpms just die.
